Tunisia -- offically the Tunisian Republic -- is the northern most country in Africa, with about 1,300 km of coastline on the Mediterranean Sea. The southern part of the country is in the Sahara Desert, the norther-western part is mountainous, and much of the remainder is fertile soil.
